New York City Politicians Back Bloomberg’s Crackdown on Occupy Wall Street

WNYC reports that in a show of support to New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Brooklyn Republican Congressmen have issued statements in support of Bloomberg’s stand on the Occupy Wall Street protestors. In a strongly-worded statement issued today, Congressman Michael Grimm told the protestors to ‘pack up their tents, buy a bar of soap and head home.’

Grimm says that he represents the hard-working 99% who simply want to go to work, do their jobs and get home to their families without being hassled along the way. Besides Grimm, fellow Republicans Bob Turner and Peter King came out in support of Bloomberg, with King referring to the protestors as ‘a bunch of low-life dirtbags.’
