Brooklyn is lagging behind the rest of New York City when it comes to being counted by the U.S. Census Bureau. In the two weeks since the bureau started mailing questionnaires only 30 percent of Kings County residents have responded,, compared to 41 percent of Staten Islanders. The second most responsive is Manhattan with 40 percent, followed by The Bronx and Queens with 36 and 34 percent, respectively.
