A filmmaker has tracked down the Zipper and Spider rides that brought screams and nausea to visitors of Coney Island for years are getting a second life on a Honduran beach community, according to an article by the Daily News. Amy Nicholson, 46, was filming the rides as part of her film, “Last Day of the Zipper.”
When amusement rides become too old and worn down, they are commonly sold off to buyers who take them south of the border.
