Gov. Cuomo Asks Feds To Help Save Four Brooklyn Hospitals From Closing

Four hospitals in Brooklyn – Long Island College Hospital, Interfaith Medical Center, Brookdale Medical Center and SUNY Downstate Brooklyn – may close in a year if the state doesn’t come up with enough funds to save them, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said. He appealed to the U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius for help in keeping them open.
