According to the Wall Street Journal, four whiskey distilleries are in the process of opening in Brooklyn. There have been recent law changes that make it easier and cheaper to open a distillery and people seem to be taking advantage of the business prospect. “It seemed clear to us once we looked into the legal situation that there would be many distilleries coming to New York City in the next decade,” David Haskell, co-owner of Kings County Distillery, told the Wall Street Journal. “So given that, we wanted to win the race. We really wanted to be first.”
