The New York Times has posted a collection of reader-submitted videos and photos of the storm here. The Long Island Railroad appears mostly on track, and only one school, John Bowne High School in Queens, will be closed today. Check back with The Brooklyn Ink for more about the storm, which hit some areas of Brooklyn with particular devastation. Chrystal Prather, 32, told the Times that her Park Slope neighborhood streets were covered with downed trees. Eve Cantler helped move some of those trees and told the newspaper, “I knew this was nothing compared to Katrina,” she said, about Hurricane Katrina “But this is like the Park Slope mini-version. I thought I should do what I could to help out.”
