A Brooklyn bakery is recalling certain packages of bread because it failed to list eggs as an ingredient on the label, according to the Associated Press.
Guadalupana Bakery Corp., 308 Ellery St., distributed “Mexican Bread (Assorted)” that contained undeclared eggs, according to New York State Agriculture Commissioner Patrick Hooker. The bread is packaged in 16-ounce clear plastic bags and was distributed throughout the five boroughs of New York City.
No illnesses have been reported, but those allergic to eggs risk serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they eat the bread.
Consumers who purchased this product are urged to throw it away or return it for a refund.
