A house on 79th Street in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn is falling apart and neighbors say they’re desperate for help, FOX 5 reports.
The windows on the two-story house at 237-79th St. are boarded up, and raccoons, mosquitoes and other insects and vermin live inside the run-down Tudor-style home.
According to neighbors and a report by the New York Daily News on Monday, Frank Landy, the owner of the house, abandoned the home in 1987 after he and his wife divorced.
One neighbor told a FOX 5 News crew that the home owner preferred to let the house deteriorate rather than selling it and giving his ex-wife a share following their divorce.
