The newly-crowned Miss America teamed up with the Brooklyn District Attorney today to speak out against child sexual abuse – a platform she chose because of abuse in her own family. Mallory Hagan, 24, the first Brooklynite to win the competitive crown in the pageant’s history, also read a book, “The Adventures of Taxi Dog,” to a group of spellbound young children that included victims of sexual abuse.
