A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, she has written for The San Diego Union-Tribune, the Sacramento Press, and other local publications, covering California’s mental health care system, housing issues, and more. She recently worked in a county health system in California. Lauren graduated from the University of California, Davis, with a degree in communication and professional writing.
