Most of the Brooklyn cemeteries will stay open tomorrow despite the anticipated snowstorm.
On Wednesday the Washington cemetery in Mapleton might close later during the day as the weather conditions are expected to worsen during the afternoon. Weather forecasts say that the storm will cover the city with up to 14 inches of snow and will culminate in blizzard-like conditions at around 5 p.m.
The Holy Cross cemetery in Prospect Park South, the Canarsie cemetery and the Evergreen cemetery in Bushwick are planning to stay open for visitors, but are closing earlier in case it gets too dangerous for visitors.The Cypress Hills cemetery will remain open as well as the Greenwood cemetery in Park Slope, which is “always open for business, ” an employee said.
