Gov. David Paterson will announce this afternoon that he is dropping out of the governor’s race, according to a report in the New York Times. Less than a week after formally announcing his candidacy, Gov. Paterson saw several of his political allies abandon him after a scandal involving top aids.
Public Schools Closed-February 26
New York City public schools will be closed today–the second snow day this year. With 10 inches of snow already, and more expected in the latest winter storm, all public schools will have a snow day today.
