Pro-designation activists happy about Gowanus Superfund declaration

Activist groups that support the declaration of the Gowanus Canal as a Superfund site are pleased with the EPA’s decision. They opposed the city’s clean-up plan, because the funding was unclear, an activist said in an interview with the Observer.
