Our Sudip Mukherjee also spoke with two residents in the area who went to cast their vote at PS 160. Issac Korman, who lives near the school wasn’t able to vote at PS 160 because he lives in a different district.

“No one told me there was an election,” Korman said who inquired about voting after he saw signs posted near the school. Korman said he got a letter Monday from candidate Joe Lazar whom Korman intended to vote for.

Homemaker Sarah Goodman would not reveal who she voted for but said that she had received lots of election mail in the two weeks leading up to today’s election, including a phone call yesterday. Goodman said many people aren’t voting because of the workday election and Passover.
