City Sued in DWI Killing
The family of a 33-year-old woman, who was killed by an off-duty police officer who was driving drunk last September, has filed a lawsuit against the city, saying fellow police officers delayed a blood test in a cover-up effort. the New York Post reports. Officer Andrew Kelly faces charges of DWI and manslaughter in the death of Vionique Valnord.
Family Shocked by Woman’s Apparent Suicide
Police say there is no indication of foul play in the death of a woman hit by an N train on Sunday, the Daily News reports. Yang Lin, 25, was found nearly naked on the tracks with her prosthetic leg ripped off by the train.
MTA Cuts Will Hit Buses, Subways in June
