Several of the Borough President’s former female staffers say Markowitz kept an “old boys network mentality” and that he regularly insulted females in his office, according to the Daily News. In addition to charges of sexism, the suit also alleges Markowitz asked employees to work on his 2005 re-election campaign on official government time. Markowitz has denied the charges.
