Malformed Pastries Delight Brooklynites

Have you ever wondered what happens to all of that delicious, processed snack food that doesn’t make it to your local grocery store? It seems they go to Entenmann’s Bakery Outlet on Flatbush Avenue between Avenue R and Fillmore Avenue in Marine Park, where they sell Entenmann’s products that can’t be sold in stores, according to Gothamist.

“Seventy to 80 percent [of the stock] was mis-baked,” manager Shawn Jackson told the New York Post. “There’s not enough sugar, it’s overweight or underweight, there’s too much icing or not enough icing. And we can’t sell it in the stores because of defects.”

Everything is perfectly fine to eat, and the prices are all discounted as well.
