A New York State parole officer was shot just before 7 p.m. last night inside the offices of the New York State Division of Parole on Schemerhorn Street. Police, responding to a report that a parole officer had been shot, discovered that Robert Morales, 50, of Buswick, shot a parole officer once in the right shoulder with a Ruger 9mm handgun. Morales has been charged with attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon. The officer, who police have yet to identify, is in stable condition at Bellevue Hospital.
