Robert Morales, the convicted murderer who allegedly shot his parole officer last night, said to police, “I’m just sorry he’s not dead. He deserved it. He’s an asshole.” Morales was convicted of 2nd degree murder in 1979 for an arson incident that killed a boy, according to the Daily News.
The parole officer, Samuel Salters, remains in stable condition at Bellevue Hospital.
