Former Brooklyn College student Syed Hashmi, 30, admitted in court yesterday that he had conspired to provide Al-Qaeda with what prosecutors described as military gear. The trial of Hashmi, a Pakistani who became an American citizen, goes on in Federal District Court in Manhattan today. Hashmi has been in custody for four years after he was extradited from Britain three years ago. Hashmi is the first person extradited from Britain to the United States on terrorism charges, prosecutors said. Read more at The New York Times…
