Crains reports that Brooklyn Industries, a home-grown Brooklyn retailer, will be moving its production, finance, management, design, store design, buying and planning departments from the Brooklyn Navy Yard to to a new 11th-floor office space in DUMBO by mid-July.
The company will maintain its 20,000-square-foot location at 43 Hall St. in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, where it will continue to house its e-commerce, store operations and customer service.
Lexy Funk, founder and chief executive of Brooklyn Industries points out that the new office is just a 10-minute subway ride to the company’s SoHo store and 15 minutes to its Union Square shop. “While Dumbo still feels industrial, it is less raw and the new space is energizing.” Read more at Crains
