Newton Creek Spill Worse than the Gulf

The Wall Street Journal sheds light away from the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, and onto Brooklyn’s very own Newton Creek. Currently, the spill in the Gulf has spilled about 18 million gallons of oil into the water, surpassing the Exxon Valdez spill. However, Newton Creek has had the worst damage at around 30 million gallons of oil into the water. Read more.
