Republican-Conservative State Sen. Marty Golden now has a third opponents for the 22nd Senate District office, which covers Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights, Bath Beach, Gravesend, Marine Park, and Gerritsen Beach.
Senator Golden has run unchallenged by the Democratic Party since after his first election to the 22nd Senate District office in November 2002.
In January, Mike DiSanto, an NYU graduate student from Gravesend, was the first Democrat to announce his campaign. Justin Lee Brannan, a musician, philanthropist and entrepreneur, has been seriously mulling a campaign.
Now a third candidate has entered the race- Claudio DeMeo, a physical education teacher and coach at New Utrecht High School. He made his announcement on the Act-Blue web site. Read more at the Brooklyn Eagle.
