Pedestrians and cyclists stand to benefit from a plan unveiled last week by the Bloomberg administration to rejigger the Grand Army Plaza. The seven-way intersection and rotary circle is a labryinth for motorists and a leap of faith for pedestrians. The plan calls for new traffic islands and crosswalks in addition to a two-way bicycle path along the rim of the Plaza buffered by a barrier. The Times has more.
