The jury deciding the fate of Keith Phoenix sent an additional note to Judge Patricia Di Mango following the court’s lunch break. The note read, “What should we do if we cannot come to an agreement on a specific count?”
Judge Di Mango addressed the jury, reminding them that any decision that is reached must be unanimous. She encouraged the jurors to be open minded but to make decisions based solely upon the evidence presents in court.
After talking to the jury for about 10 minutes, she dismissed them to continue deliberations.
