Man ‘Finds’ Alligator in Brooklyn, Drops Off to Cops

A two-foot long baby alligator was handed to police in the 88th Precinct in Clinton Hill on Sunday, according to the New York Post. Police think the story might actually highlight a growing problem in the city; the man likely had the critter as a pet, but when it grew, he couldn’t house it anymore. In New York City, it is illegal to keep a wild animal as a pet.
