A Brooklyn kitchen inside a grocery store is the highest rated restaurant outside of Manhattan in the new Michelin Guide to New York, according to The New York Times.
The Chef’s Table at Brooklyn Fare, an 18-seat bar and open kitchen inside a Boerum Hill grocery store, received two stars in the book. The Chef’s Table offers a taste menu of about 20 courses with one nightly seating Tuesday through Thursday and two on Friday and Saturday, said store owner Moe Issa. The food blends French technique with Mediterranean and Japanese cuisines and costs $135 per person.
