A four-year-old boy died in Brooklyn yesterday after being hit by a bus in Manhattan Beach, police said.

Evan Svirsky, of 177-05 West End Ave., was struck by a westbound B49 bus just before 4:30 p.m. yesterday after he ran into the street on Oriental Avenue near Falmouth Street. The boy was transported to Coney Island Hospital and pronounced dead on arrival.

The boy was with his 45-year-old-mother, who was struck by the bus’ rear-view mirror in the accident. She was transported to Lutheran Hospital, where she is listed in stable condition.

The bus remained on the scene after the accident. The investigation is ongoing, but no criminal activity is expected at this time, police said.
