Out of the five high schools which scored above 100, an unofficial A+, three are in Brooklyn, according to The Brooklyn Daily Eagle: Brooklyn International high school, Williamsburg preparatory school and Williamsburg High School for Architecture and Design. Brooklyn school for global studies performed the most poorly, with an F for poor attendance and low student progress.
In NYC as a whole, 40 percent of high schools earned As, 29 percent Bs, 21 percent Cs, 7 percent Ds, and 3 percent Fs. Compared to last year, 180 schools received the same grade; 46 schools improved by at least one grade, and 82 schools went down.
The report also shows that schools opened after 2002 performed better than older ones.
