A team of workers and managers at the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge have started preparing for the kick off of the New York City Marathon this Sunday, reports the Brooklyn Eagle. The to-do list ranges from filling in potholes to painting on start lines. The marathon starts on the Staten Island side of the bridge and crosses into Bay Ridge to start the all-borough race. The race has grown over its 41 years from 127 runners to 45,000.
