According to police, Jose Miguel Serrano-Munoz, 23, was shot multiple times in the wee hours of Monday, Nov. 8, 2010 in Gravesend. Serrano-Munoz was shot in front of a donut shop at 1503 Avenue U. He was later transported to Kings County Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The police have a suspect in custody but the investigation is ongoing.
Update: Police have arrested Salvador Avelino, 20, of Gravesend. He is charged with second degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
