Brooklyn Landlord Placed on ‘Worst Slumlord’ List

Brooklyn landlord David Bistricer owes the city thousands of dollars, even though he makes about $10 million from leasing space to the city every year, the New York Daily News reports. Public Advocate Bill de Blasio has put the landlord on his “worst slumlord list,” and has urged the city to terminate their contracts with Bistricer. Bistricer’s holdings includes the Flatbush Gardens complex which has 59 buildings, 44 of which reportedly have a “stunning 6,475 code violations, including 827 deemed “immediately hazardous.””
