Maria Hermosin Jimenez, 58, was sent to Bellevue Hospital after being struck by a livery cab in Midtown on Sunday. She is suffering from serious head trauma, according the NY Daily News.
The driver, Dave St. Bernard, 53, was making a left-handed turn when he hit Jimenez as she was crossing the crosswalk at E 42nd St. and Third Ave. After the car struck Jimenez, it also jumped the curb and hit a newsstand. Bernard has been issued a court summons for failing to yield to a pedestrian.
