Brooklyn Teen Charged for Death of Deliveryman While Texting

A Brooklyn teen was indicted yesterday for allegedly texting when she hit a deliveryman on a scooter, according to the New York Daily News. Nechama Rothberger, 19, was indicted on charges of criminally negligent homicide of Tian Sheng Lin, 53, on Sept. 19. When Rothberger allegedly hit Lin at a red light at East 17th St. and Avenue P, he was hurled from his scooter and suffered massive organ damage. He was taken to Kings County Hospital where he later died. Lin was a father of three.
