Students at the Fort Greene high school will now start practicing their legal skills after the school converted a storage area into a courtroom. The NY Daily News reports that the Brooklyn Technical High School’s lifelike courtroom includes a judge’s bench and jury box for students interested in holding mock criminal and civil trials.
Students say that the courtroom brought their lectures to life.
Fort Greene’s city councillor, Letitia James, will be at the school today to celebrate the launch of the mock courtroom.
