David Wojnarowicz’s controversial exhibition, “A Fire in My Belly,” is coming to the Brooklyn Museum on Nov. 18, reports The Wall Street Journal.
A video from the exhibition, which includes a film depicting ants crawling on a crucifix, was pulled from the National Portrait Gallery in Washington D.C. last year after the work provoked public debate.
This exhibition, entitled “Hide/Seek,” is reportedly the first major in a museum show to consider gay themes in art history. The museum has received many letters protesting the exhibit since its announcement.
