The City of London Corporation has given Occupy London a one-day warning to pack up and leave, or otherwise face eviction, the Associated Press reports. Notices were posted on tents, pitched outside St. Paul’s Cathedral, with a deadline of 1:00 p.m. EST on Thursday (6:00 p.m. local time).
The eviction notice comes a day after New York officials swept Zuccotti Park, the home base of Occupy Wall Street, of camped protesters.
