A plan to commercially develop Admiral’s Row, a six-acre parcel of land in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, was unanimously approved yesterday by the City Council, the New York Post reported.

A 74,000-square-foot supermarket will be built under the proposed project, which also designates land for retail stores and industrial complexes. Two historic buildings will be preserved, though others are slated for destruction.
