Leaders of the Hasidic Jewish community in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, have asked the City to not hand out permits for the filming of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Columbia Pictures plans to film scenes of the second installment of the franchise next week in South Williamsburg. But the Hasidic community is protesting through Community Board 1, claiming that the shoot is culturally insensitive because it’s scheduled over the Passover holiday.
