Brooklyn doctor Oleg Davie was charged with second-degree manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide after his involvement in the death of a patient during a liposuction procedure. Isel Pineda went into cardiac arrest during her procedure, possibly as the result of medication she took stemming from a 2004 heart transplant. Prosecutors allege that Davie behaved irresponsibly by performing the operation, and that he attempted to alter her medical records after her death.
