At least a dozen mezuzot, doorway decorations sacred to Jews, were burned in a Williamsburg apartment building Monday. Monday was Yom Hashoah in the Jewish calendar, the Jewish day remembering the Holocaust. Police are investigating the incident as a possible hate crime.
