The Daily News says a 520 pound pumpkin is currently on display outside a house on McDonald avenue in Kensington. Local resident John Zambito nurtured the monstrous pumpkin by mixing its seeds with fish fertilizer and donkey manure. His wife told the newspaper that before she wrote a sign on the pumpkin that says “its real”, bypassers would poke at the vegetable with their keys to see if it was natural. Unusual as it is, the Kensington pumpkin is far smaller than the 1,812 pounds record breaker, that was recently shipped from Wisconsin to the New York Botanical Garden.
