The Daily News has an exclusive report today on teenage gang members in Brownsville engaged in a deadly turf battle. The dispute has claimed two young lives.
The Hood Starz, who claim Marcus Garvey Village, and the Brownsville Fly Guys, who claim adjacent Marcus Garvey Houses, have been warring since the summer. Officers in the 72nd Precinct say that this feud has reached a boiling point with the recent shooting death of a 16-year-old gang member in front of his home. Police are taking measures to counter any additional violence.
