The Prospect Park Zoo will formally introduce two newborn baboons to the public today. The zoo is also holding a naming contest for the two babies, currently known as #1 and #2.

Brooklyn Law School Alumna Killed in Plane Crash
Irina Shekhets, who recently graduated from Brooklyn Law School, was one of 14 passengers killed on Tuesday when the plane she was flying in crashed in Nepal. Shekhets was on vacation and enroute to a Mount Everest base camp, at the time of the accident.
Suspect Charged in Murder of Liquor Store Clerk
Eion Cass, 33, a convicted felon who served 11 years for attempted murder was charged with first-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon on Wednesday. Cass is accused of killing Yoseph Robinson last week, during a botched holdup at a Midwood liquor store.
Brooklyn-Based Cheese Producer Issues Recall
The Brooklyn-based Azteca Linda Corporation is issuing a recall for its “Queso Fresco” and “Queso Hebra” cheeses, after the queso fresco tested positive for listeria in Rhode Island. The second cheese was recalled as a precaution, as both cheeses were produced with the same equipment.
