Brooklyn Bridge Park: Bloomberg, Patterson Cut The Ribbon

Today marked the first opening of the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservatory, 1.3 miles of once unsightly  land alongside the East River. Only Pier 1 has been completed and is set to open in April. The park’s website posts an interactive map, and Gothamist has great photos of the ceremony today, for which crowds gathered–including Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz.
