Tenant Says Cache of Weapons Are Collectors Items

A tenant of the Gravesend home where police on Friday found an arsenal of weapons, including 30 guns, seven knives and two crossbows, said in court on Sunday the items were family heirlooms and not weapons used by the family. Charges were dropped against tenant Michael Poole, the Daily News reports, but the three members of the Siano family were arraigned.

Woman Found Dead on Subway Tracks in Bensonhurst

The mangled body of a partially clad woman was found on the tracks near the Kings Highway subway station in Bensonhurst on Sunday afternoon. Police say it may have been a suicide, the Daily News reports.

North Brooklyn a Candidate for Faster Internet

The Greenpoint-Williamsburg-Fort Greene area is the latest area to join some 600 communities across the country seeking to become the test site for Google’s ultra-high speed broadband network. State Assemblyman Joe Lentol submitted an application on Friday to bring the service to the area, which would provide Internet at speeds of up to 100 times the average, the New York Post reports.
