The hit-and-run death of Neil Chamberlain last week on McGuinness Boulevard is the result of systematic “lawless driving” in the area, a study by Transportation Alternatives found. Since 2008, two people have been killed and two seriously injured on the strip. Volunteers found over eight hours, drivers ran red lights 150 times, yapped on their mobile phones 89 times, and failed to yield to pedestrians 114 times at the boulevard’s intersection with Calyer Street.
