Bay Ridge Street Renamed for Former City Aide

Rosemarie O’Keefe, who headed the city’s first Community Assistance Unit under Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s administration in the 1990s, was honored Saturday in a street renaming ceremony in the Bay Ridge neighborhood where she lived. A year after the activist died of cancer, Bay Ridge Parkway and Fifth Avenue is now “Rosemarie O’Keefe Way.” The Daily News has more.
