The Rev. Isidro Bolaños, the Brooklyn pastor who had persuaded hundreds of people to turn in personal records for nonexistent jobs at a scam social service agency is back in New York City, reports the New York Times City Room Blog.
Their sources, three men who confronted him about his shady actions, said the pastor had jetted to Nicaragua on a “missionary trip” shortly after the scam became uncovered.
The three men say Bolaños is renting a cluttered room in an apartment in Harlem. Read more.
