Water Search Halted for Brooklyn Man

A Coast Guard search of the Long Island Sound for Eoin Curran, 30, has been called off. Curran, from Ireland, just moved to New York and was taking his first sailing lesson when a storm threw him and one other overboard. The other man was able to get back on the boat, but Curran fell beneath the water before he could be rescued, according to the Daily News.
